Job summary

Pelican Credit Union is seeking a friendly Member Experience Representative to greet members, process routine transactions, and guide customers through account openings. The role blends teller duties with sales and service, supporting ITM operations and delivering exceptional experiences across in-branch, phone, text, and digital channels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of continuous job experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience within a financial institution is a plus.
• Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and member service skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PPT).

Responsibilities

• Greeting members and assisting with their financial needs across in-person, phone, text, and digital channels.
• Performing routine member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
• Assisting members in opening and closing accounts.
• Balancing the teller drawer at end of day.
• Supporting ITM (Interactive Teller Machine) operations and serving as a knowledgeable resource.
• Promoting and cross-selling Pelican products and services to fit members' financial needs.
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Job description

The Member Experience Representative is responsible for greeting all members when they enter the branch and assisting them with their financial needs. This is a front-line role responsible for delivering outstanding service and support to members through various channels, including in-person, by phone, and through text and digital messaging. This position performs a variety of financial transactions and supports both lobby and teller operations. Our ideal candidate has a positive, can-do attitude, and is a problem-solver with strong cash-handling and member service skills. Additionally, the candidate should be comfortable in a sales environment and be able to meet monthly sales goals.

A Day in the Life of a Member Experience Representative INCLUDE:

• Serving as a member experience concierge for members entering the branch and coordinating lobby flow.
• Performing routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
• Assisting members in the opening and closing of accounts.
• Balancing the teller drawer at the end of the day.
• Supporting ITM (Interactive Teller Machine) operations and serving as a knowledgeable resource.
• Promoting and cross-selling Pelican products and services to members to fit their financial needs.
