Job summary

Barksdale Federal Credit Union is seeking a Personal Banker in Shreveport, LA to deliver exceptional member service throughout the lending process, from account opening to loan services. You will manage deposits and assist with loan interviews and credit applications to ensure a smooth member experience.

You will engage with members in person or electronically, cross-sell products, resolve inquiries, and promote our financial offerings to strengthen member relationships and loyalty.

Qualifications

• Experience in a full-service financial institution is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of financial services and products provided by the credit union.
• Knowledge of loan processing functions, requirements, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software/systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional member service throughout the lending process, from account opening to loan services.
• Manage deposit services such as account opening, closure, and maintenance.
• Process loans, conduct loan interviews, and prepare applications for credit approval.
• Assist members electronically or in-person, cross-sell products and services.
• Resolve member issues and inquiries effectively and professionally.
