Job summary

The Bedford-Stuyvesant YMCA in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a Member Experience Director to lead the Membership department, drive revenue, and ensure high member satisfaction. You will supervise staff, coach frontline teams, and manage tours and memberships.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in business or related field and 3–5 years in member or customer-service leadership. Responsibilities include budget development, local marketing, outreach, and developing quality assurance systems to grow

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
• 3–5 years in a member/customer service supervisory/management position.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of sales, new member acquisition, prospecting, and conversions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor branch goals (units, revenue, collections) and use data dashboards to drive decisions.
• Personally follow up with prospects, give tours, process memberships, and handle inquiries.
• Develop and manage budgets, regional marketing, and local outreach strategies.
• Lead, coach, and develop Membership staff to ensure high member satisfaction.
