Job summary

Excel Fitness in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Team Member to deliver exceptional member service, maintain a clean and welcoming club, and assist with day-to-day operations. You will use the Planet Fitness app, process member interactions, and help uphold safety and compliance across shifts.

The role includes cash handling, inventory checks, and supporting promotions while ensuring a positive, compliant gym experience for all members.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/ AED certification required before working alone, training provided if needed.
• Comfortable standing for long periods.
• Strong communication with internal and external customers.
• Must be team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized.
• Able to think critically and evaluate solutions proactively.

Responsibilities

• Perform to best abilities during assigned work shift.
• Maintain club cleanliness and atmosphere.
• Operate Planet Fitness mobile app and stay updated.
• Complete required safety training before work.
• Audit club and ensure Excel standards.
• Conduct club walkarounds and complete tasks.
• Balance cash drawers daily.
• Input and update member information into tablets and POS.
• Enforce policies with members and address infractions.
• Provide a safe environment for members.
• Deliver high level member service and communicate effectively.
• Stock retail and janitorial items for the shift.
• Understand and adhere to company standards and resolve issues.
• Audit inventory and coordinate with management on orders.
• Stay current on certifications and training.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Engage prospects and assist potential members.
• Support membership promotions and operational strategies.
