Island Federal Credit Union in Selden, NY is seeking a Universal Service Representative to join our branch team. This full-time clerical role blends teller and member service responsibilities, delivering outstanding service while handling financial transactions and offering suitable products.

You will open accounts, assist with digital banking, process deposits and loans, and actively identify opportunities to strengthen member relationships through referrals and solution discussions.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of sales experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete NMLS registration within 30 days.
• Complete Signature Guarantee training within 30 days.
• Obtain Lending Authority within 180 days.

Responsabilités

• Greet and assist customers with banking needs.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
• Open and maintain member accounts.
• Provide information on banking products and services.
• Identify and address member needs by recommending suitable financial solutions.
• Resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and comply with banking regulations.
• Assist with branch operations, including balancing cash drawers and security protocols.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen member relationships through referrals and product conversations.
• Provide coverage to branches as needed.
• Assist members with digital banking services and card requests.
• Support consumer lending activities by gathering application information and referrals.
• Conduct member outreach to deepen relationships and promote retention.
• Meet referral and service goals by identifying opportunities for additional products.
