Job summary

Retro Fitness in New Jersey is seeking a friendly Member Experience Associate to greet members, manage check-ins, and create a welcoming atmosphere.

You will drive membership sales, assist with merchandise, and help maintain a clean, safe club environment while delivering excellent service to guests and staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in members as they arrive.
• Resolve customer issues effectively and professionally.
• Drive membership sales and support retention efforts.
• Follow up with prospects and convert inquiries.
• Assist with selling in-store merchandise (Retro Smoothies, drinks, pro shop).
• Maintain a safe, clean health-club environment for members and staff.
• Open or close the club as scheduled and follow procedures.

Job Overview

The Member Experience Associate is responsible for the entire Member Experience, serving as the face of the club. You will be the first person a member sees when they walk in, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greeting and checking in members as they arrive.
• Resolving customer issues effectively.
• Membership sales and retention.
• Following up with prospects.
• Selling in-store merchandise such as Retro Smoothies, cooler drinks, pro shop items, etc.
• Ensuring a safe and clean health‑club environment for members and staff.
• Opening and closing the facility if scheduled.
• Following company policies and procedures.

All Member Experience Associates are required to wear a company staff shirt with either khaki or black athletic pants. Sneakers must be worn; boots, heels, or sandals are not allowed. Associates must be well groomed and neat.

Note on openers and closers: Opening employees must be present 15 minutes before the club’s opening time to complete the Opening Checklist. Closing employees must close at the established time.
