Job summary

Orangeburg County YMCA is seeking a Part Time Member Services Representative to be the first point of contact for members and guests in the Orangeburg, SC facility. You will assist with membership inquiries, registrations, and facility access while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and experience with MS Office and basic database software. Flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends is expected to support program needs.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests and provide information about programs and memberships.
• Process new memberships, renewals, cancellations, and changes to status; verify credentials and issue cards.
• Monitor facility access and enforce policies; ensure valid memberships or guest passes.
• Process payments (dues, program fees) and reconcile daily cash drawers per procedures.
• Provide supportive service to members, handle feedback, and escalate issues when needed.
• Perform routine administrative tasks and assist with outreach and promotions at the front desk.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk and lobby area; restock materials.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
