Job summary

Lockheed Martin RMS in Camden, NJ is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer to apply advanced technologies and translate customer requirements into robust radar software specifications. Join a team that designs, simulates, and verifies complex radar solutions, interacting with customers, labs, and leadership.

The role requires a BS+ in a STEM field, experience with C++, Matlab, and scripting, and a clearance capability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or related STEM degree.
  • Experience with C++ or equivalent object-oriented computing language, Matlab, and scripting languages.
  • Demonstrated experience in two or more of: systems engineering, software and system analysis, requirements development, verification and validation, trade studies, modeling and simulation, or integration and test.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts to develop revolutionary radar solutions.
  • Perform functional analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition to translate customer requirements into Radar system software specifications.
  • Develop models and detailed simulations to assess system performance.
  • Conduct system verification and support certification activities.
  • Represent the organization on contracts and interface with internal and external customers, government lab partners, program and senior leadership, and multidisciplinary engineering teams on significant technical matters.
  • Automating repeatable tasks through the use of scripting languages.

THE WORK
The Radar Systems Engineer Will

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or related STEM degree with minimum 2 years' related experience.
  • Experience with C++ or equivalent object-oriented computing language, Matlab, and, scripting languages.
  • Demonstrated experience in two or more of the following areas: systems engineering, software and system analysis, requirements development, verification and validation, trade studies, modeling and simulation, or integration and test.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required.
Desired Skills
  • Strong mathematics background in linear algebra, statistical analysis and signal processing.
  • Radar systems development experience including algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling and simulation.
  • Technical leadership experience with program execution.
  • Demonstrated analytical, applied mathematics and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Pay Information
  • $75000.00 - $142760.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
