Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Member Engagement Specialist to support Playcenter, family programs, and volunteer activities. This role focuses on enhancing the member experience through intentional connection points after registration, with no budget responsibilities.

Under the direction of the Member Experience Director, you will help promote programs, recruit and supervise staff, and ensure safety and inclusivity across YMCA activities. Legal work eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication required.
• Ability to recognize and implement safety standards in all program activities.
• Proficient with computers and various applications.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, problem solve and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Support operating plans to promote membership/program growth, retention, impact, and safety for the YMCA.
• Assist in regular activities/events for families and members on a monthly basis.
• Maintain accurate program documentation (files, reports, rosters, health records).
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Playcenter staff.
• Help market and distribute program information and organize registrations.
• Create an inclusive, welcoming environment for all participants.
• Respond to member inquiries and complaints promptly.
