Job summary

NYCDCC Benefit Funds seeks a Member Services Representative to serve as the primary contact for active and retired union members and their dependents, delivering exceptional service on benefits programs including Health & Welfare, Pension, Annuity, Vacation, and Scholarships.

The role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and ability to interpret plan provisions in a fast-paced, high-volume office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience required.
• Experience in benefits administration, healthcare, pension administration, labor‑management funds, insurance, or a related field is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to member inquiries by telephone, email, and in person regarding eligibility, health benefits, pension, annuity, vacation, scholarship, and related Fund programs.
• Explain plan provisions, eligibility requirements, procedures, and benefit-related information in a clear and understandable manner.
• Assist members with completing forms, applications, and required documentation.
• Document member interactions, inquiries, complaints, and resolutions within applicable systems.
