Job summary

Washington State Employees Credit Union is seeking a Member Consultant to serve as a friendly, knowledgeable go‑to for members at Thurston County branches. You will handle branch functions, open accounts, provide teller services, and strive to meet sales and service goals with a member‑first approach.

You’ll build relationships, understand member journeys, and tailor products to individual needs, while collaborating with teammates.

Qualifications

• Experience in a financial institution or retail/service-related position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Willing to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, including fingerprinting and a national criminal background check.
• Competitive hourly pay based on qualifications, plus incentive plan and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform all branch functions including consumer lending, opening new accounts, and teller services.
• Strive for and hit sales and service goals while prioritising the member’s best interest.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with members.
• Understand members’ journey and offer products and services to meet their needs.
• Show empathy and lend a hand to teammates when needed.
