Job summary

Greenwood Credit Union in Rhode Island seeks an Universal Banker to serve as the primary contact for members, delivering a full range of banking services and solutions. You will open and maintain accounts, process transactions, resolve inquiries, and educate members on products while protecting confidentiality.

You will identify sales opportunities, refer customers to appropriate services, and support branch operations, regulatory compliance, and business development efforts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
• At least two years' experience in a successful sales and service environment.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists members and provides general banking services and information. Ensures confidentiality of all customer transactions.
• Identifies and acts upon sales and business relationship opportunities.
• Provides exceptional service to existing or potential members in person, by mail or by telephone while adhering to credit union standards and policies.
• Actively seeks opportunities to sell and cross-sell banking products to include consumer/business loans, financial services and all ancillary services in response to customer needs.
• Responds to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
• Accurately processes the full array of deposit and loan transactions in a secure and confidential manner in compliance with credit union policy, practice and credit union regulations.
• Performs supporting account file maintenance and completion of mandatory forms.
