Job summary

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in a melt shop environment and a 4-year degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a process metallurgist within a melt shop environment.
• 3 years minimum experience in ferrous metallurgy of Aerospace materials.
• 3 years minimum experience in primary melting and remelting processing.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with Quality and Safety systems and procedures.
• Review and disposition heats produced in the air melt shop.
• Support non-conformance disposition and root cause analysis.
• Lead and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Review customer claims and issue technical reports.
