Job summary

ATI is looking for a Utility Operator in Monroe, North Carolina, to play a critical role in the remelt department by preparing materials for the melting process and operating equipment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to safely operate machines, stand for extended periods, and lift materials over 50 lbs.

This position requires strong attention to safety, adherence to procedures, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or GED and manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate industrial equipment in accordance with standard procedures.
• Willingness and ability to work at heights.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate rotary abrasive saws, ingot grinders, welders, and related equipment.
• Assist with crucible and furnace setup and teardown processes.
• Operate heavy machinery including forklifts and cranes.
• Use precision measuring devices to ensure material accuracy.
• Maintain accurate logs and production records.
