Job summary

Dicastal North America seeks a Melting Operator to safely operate aluminum melting machinery in the Melt department to meet production needs. You will follow safety rules, maintain equipment, monitor temperature and composition, and log material usage and scrap data.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least six months of manufacturing experience. You must read and understand written documents and contribute to a clean, safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Six months experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understand written documents

Responsibilities

• Follows safety rules 100% of the time.
• Operates melting, holding and/or chip furnaces via control panel and manual controls
• Safe operation of a forklift as part of the furnace charge bucket loading process
• Monitors the melting equipment function and temperature/quality of aluminum liquid
• Logs material usage, scrap counts and other data
• Inspects and maintains melting equipment and work areas
• Supports a safe and efficient workflow in the Melt department
• Other relevant work as needed
