Job summary

ATI is looking to add a Furnace Mason to our Monroe, North Carolina facility. You will be part of a team manufacturing highly engineered materials for aerospace and defense, tearing apart and rebuilding furnaces, installing refractory brick, and ensuring equipment meets specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of heavy manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and measurements.
• Willingness to work in hot/cold environments and tight spaces.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install refractory brick in walls, ceilings, floors, and arches when performing repairs or rebuilds of furnaces.
• Perform rough finish masonry work such as laying brick.
• Use and maintain refractory tools and equipment including air hammers, hand tools, grinders, and Cut-Off saws.
• Set up and layout projects by reading blueprints, measuring, leveling, and squaring to install and build to specifications.
• Adhere to all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
• Operate fork trucks and cranes.
