Job summary

Kymera International in Durham, NC seeks a Melt Manager to lead the Melt Department, drive safety, quality, and lean improvements, and ensure operations meet production schedules and customer requirements.

You will coach supervisors, oversee overtime and training, review daily reports, and coordinate with site leadership to maintain production excellence, equipment setup, and ERP routing.

Qualifications

• 10 – 15 years of demonstrated manufacturing management experience in metals or chemicals manufacturing with progression of increased responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience with manufacturing resources planning.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills for leadership presentations.
• Demonstrated skills with PC office applications such as MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Melt Department operations and deliver manufacturing results aligned with production schedules.
• Ensure safety policies and PPE requirements are followed and promote safety improvements.
• Drive quality objectives by product and process inspections to meet customer and internal requirements.
• Perform training and development of Melt Department staff, including 30/60/90-day programs.
