Job summary

ATI is seeking a dedicated furnace technician to support set-up, run and tear down of furnaces in a high-performance materials environment. You will identify material from molds, load and operate anneal furnaces, and maintain logs to ensure safety and efficiency.

The role requires the ability to pass screening and basic arithmetic. Onsite work in a manufacturing facility with strict safety standards. We value high performers who thrive in challenging, hands-on environments.

Qualifications

• Pass IME screening.
• Pass Respirator Protection screening.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of tasks to assist in set-up, run and tear down of furnaces.
• Identify material coming out of molds.
• Load, operate and unload anneal furnaces.
• Transport and ship electrodes.
• Build, rebuild and repair Ladles, Launder Boxes and Stopper Rod Assemblies.
• Operate jib hoist and the 5 ton crane.
• Operate launder box drier and stopper rod drier.
• Maintain logs and records.
• Can weigh out heats in correct sequence.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS:

• Assist raw materials, maintenance, remelt, etc., and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required to pass IME screening
• Required to pass Respirator Protection screening

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Use ordinary arithmetic, including fractions.
