Job summary

Hendrickson in Chattanooga is seeking production associates for the Refractory and Melt Deck in Spin Line operations. You will assist in melting and mixing iron, learn mechanical and metallurgical tasks, and support the daily running of the furnace and related equipment.

Your role requires safety vigilance, the ability to operate overhead cranes, perform temperature checks, weigh materials, monitor alloys, and complete routine PMs while maintaining clean, organized work areas in line with 5S

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain forklift/industrial powered equipment certification.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead crane to move materials and load furnaces.
• Weigh materials and monitor alloys during melting.
• Perform temperature checks on the electric melt furnace.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and data entry.
• Maintain 5S-compliant clean and safe work environment.
• Assist in relining and repair of furnace components as needed.
