Job summary

Hendrickson in Chattanooga, TN seeks a Refractory and Melt Deck production associate to perform a wide range of melting, mixing, and furnace-related tasks in the Spin Line department.

You will operate cranes, manage furnace operation, monitor temperatures, perform preventive maintenance, document data, and participate in relining and repair work to keep lines running and meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification to operate industrial powered equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead crane to move raw material and charge cars for melting.
• Monitor furnace temperature and add alloys as needed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and data entry for refractory work.
• Repair furnace lining and set up for relining and start of centering cycle.
• Disassemble and rebuild vessels and maintain a clean work environment in line with 5S guidelines.
