Job summary

Charter Casting in Shawano, WI is hiring Melt Deck Operators for 1st or 3rd shift (12-hour shifts, 6pm–6am). Pay starts at $24.75/hr with a potential to reach $27/hr and a $2,000 sign-on bonus. This is a full-time role with stable hours in a family-owned manufacturing environment.

You will transport melting materials, operate furnaces, and support safety and continuous improvement. Requirements include 1 year of manufacturing or related experience, high school diploma, ability to lift up to 60

Qualifications

• 1 year prior experience in manufacturing, foundry, metals, or related field.
• High School Diploma or GED (we can help with GED works program).
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and move up to 60 lbs.
• Basic math and problem solving skills

Responsibilities

• Transport melting materials and supplies to the melt deck.
• Operate melting furnace charging equipment.
• Learn to operate the melting furnaces.
• Transport melting materials from the warehouse or other locations to the melt deck.
• Remove full slag hoppers from the melt deck and transport to containers.
• Ensure safety for yourself and others in the area.
