Charter Casting in Shawano, WI is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electromechanic Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 2pm–Midnight). You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electromechanical equipment, while implementing preventive maintenance and safety standards.

An ideal candidate has an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent training, plus hands-on experience with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Eligible for a $5,000 signing bonus and comprehensive benefits after 31 days.

Wire new systems, equipment, machines, and other apparatus.* Ensure all electromechanical systems, equipment, machines, and other apparatus are safe for operation.* Utilize lean principles and tools to troubleshoot, countermeasure, and improve processes and equipment.* Follow all plant safety rules; including locking out of all plant equipment so that it is safe to work on; use safety equipment appropriate for the job; be aware of the safety of others. **What you bring:*** High School Diploma or GED - We can help with our free GED program.* Accredited electrical apprenticeship, two years technical training with two plus years’ industrial electromechanical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Experience in reading and interpreting complex documents such as wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, instructions, safety rules, code books and specifications.* Ability to inspect electrical systems, equipment, and machines for possible problems.* Knowledge of medium voltage power distribution systems.* Knowledge of drives, controls, motion controllers, PLCs, and/or motors.* Basic knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic commissioning and troubleshooting experience.* Experience in working with electrical codes and regulations, electronic controls and devices and electrical/electronic theory.* Experience operating electrical and mechanical testing equipment.* Ability to use a wide variety of metal working, hand, and power equipment.* Experience using precision measuring equipment and welding / torch equipment.* Ability to use math skills including fractions, percentages, geometry, and probability.* Ability to read and understand technical procedures.* Good verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to work well with other employees.* Proficient in basic computer skills.* Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures. **Physical Requirements:*** Frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, bending, lifting up to 60 lbs., and ability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation. **Nice to have:*** Journeyman's card* Experience in foundry or metals* Experience commissioning and troubleshooting Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs and Drives.* Proven expertise in AC/DC motor maintenance* HVAC Certification or maintenance experience* Industrial electrical troubleshooting, and hydraulics & pneumatics.* Relevant industry certifications preferred.
