Job summary

EMD Electronics is adding Megasys Technicians to their team in Hillsboro, OR. You will work with Engineers and Operations teams in a wafer fab cleanroom environment to ensure semiconductor processing equipment is repaired and maintained promptly.

Megasys Technicians will support safety protocols, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role features a day shift schedule with extended 12-hour rotations, weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years in a semiconductor fab environment.
• Associate degree or higher in engineering/technical discipline preferred.
• Vacuum experience with UHV on PVD/CVD systems and ALD chambers.
• Ability to debug systems using schematics and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and self-motivated work ethic.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to work without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform Safety Protocol checks on equipment before maintenance.
• Assist with equipment upgrade or installation projects.
• Maintain and improve equipment performance with timely repairs.
• Foster continuous improvement and a culture of execution.
• Install and upgrade tools to control cost and deliver quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and report findings.
• Analyze malfunctions and develop corrective actions.
• Maintain service records and next due dates.
• Work safely with hazardous chemicals and materials.
