Job summary

EMD Electronics is seeking a MEGASYS technician to manage gases, chemicals, and slurries, supporting semiconductor manufacturing on a full-time basis with 12-hour shifts and potential nationwide travel.

The role requires operating advanced blending equipment, performing maintenance, and following strict safety protocols. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to serve customers and ensure continuous production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of experience in a semiconductor, chemical, or other manufacturing setting.
• Preferred: Associate Degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or other technical discipline.
• Ability to read flow transmitters, pressure transducers, understand units of measure and use precision measuring equipment.
• Understand materials of construction and chemical compatibility; strong safety awareness including lockout/tagout experience.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of gas and chemical distribution systems.
• Change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers.
• Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance.
• Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs.
• Support of quality systems and adherence to site protocols.
• Primary communication point to customer.
