EMD Electronics in Santa Clara, CA is seeking Megasys Technicians to support wafer fab operations. Megasys technicians work with engineers and operations teams in a cleanroom, performing on-site maintenance of gas and chemical handling systems to keep semiconductor processing equipment running.

The role emphasizes safety, troubleshooting, and documentation; technicians troubleshoot, install upgrades, and report findings, with 12-hour compressed shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of semiconductor fab experience.
• Preferred Associate Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Ability to read schematics and manuals for debugging.

Responsibilities

• Perform Safety Protocol checks on all equipment before maintenance.
• Assist with equipment upgrades or installation projects as needed.
• Maintain and improve equipment performance via timely repairs.
• Foster continuous improvement and strong execution culture.
• Install/upgrade tools to control costs and ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and document findings.
• Analyze malfunctions and develop corrective actions.
• Keep service records and next due dates organized.
• Work safely with hazardous chemicals and materials.
