Job summary

EMD Electronics is seeking Megasys Technicians to join our team working in wafer fab cleanroom environments. You will repair and maintain semiconductor processing equipment and support engineers and operations to ensure on‑time delivery and quality.

The role requires handling hazardous chemicals, night shifts (12‑hour rotations with weekends), and a proactive, safety‑minded approach. A strong background in electronics or engineering and hands‑on troubleshooting are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years in a semiconductor fab.
• Associate Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics or related engineering field.
• Vacuum experience with UHV on PVD/CVD systems as well as ALD chambers.
• Ability to debug systems using schematics and manuals.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and maintenance materials.
• Motivated, focused self-starter with high energy.
• Excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Safety Protocol checks on all equipment before maintenance/service.
• Assist with equipment upgrades or installations as needed.
• Provide timely repair and maintenance to improve equipment performance.
• Foster a culture of execution and continuous improvement.
• Install and upgrade tools to control costs and ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and report findings.
• Analyze malfunctions and develop corrective actions.
