Job summary

Core & Main LP is seeking an Estimator II in the Critical Infrastructure Group to perform detailed material takeoffs and support bids for infrastructure projects. The role collaborates with sales, Pre‑Bid, and engineering to ensure accurate scope and competitive proposals.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of estimation experience in water/wastewater or critical infrastructure, with strong plan-reading and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimation experience in water/wastewater or critical infrastructure projects.
• Experience performing detailed material quantity takeoffs from plan sets.
• Strong understanding of civil and mechanical infrastructure systems.
• Experience engaging with contractors or vendors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform material quantity takeoffs for standard to moderately complex projects.
• Interpret drawings and specs to determine material requirements and scope.
• Aid bid strategy by preparing scopes and material lists for bids.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure accurate scope definitions and knowledge transfer.
