Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Robotics and Digital (RAD) seeks a Quality Engineering Spring 2027 Co-Op in Santa Clara, CA. You will support new product development, lifecycle quality, and quality systems through testing, data interpretation, and risk analysis.

You are an engineering student in good standing, at least in your second year, able to work 40 hours weekly for 5–6 months (January through June). Proficiency in statistics and MS Office is valued.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, Electrical, Computer/Software Engineering or related field.
• Second year or above in school at the start of the co-op/internship.
• Familiar with basic statistics concepts/terminology.
• Full-time availability, 40 hours per week.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship needed now or in future.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, experimentation, verification, and validation to support product design.
• Assist in developing laboratory testing, interpreting data results, and recommending next steps.
• Learn and perform various statistical analysis techniques.
• Create and update risk management documents like FMEAs, Quality plans, and complaint analyses.
• Strengthen communication and leadership skills.
• Work with a diverse team across Design, Development, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and Clinical.
• Meet with Quality management to discuss risks and opportunities for projects.
