Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Robotics and Digital (RAD) in Santa Clara, CA is recruiting a Quality Engineering Spring 2027 Co-Op for 5–6 months (January–June). You will work in NPD/R&D Quality, Lifecycle/Sustaining Quality, or Quality Systems, reporting to a Quality Engineer.

You'll perform testing and analysis, develop risk management documents, and collaborate with design, regulatory, marketing, and clinical teams to support new product development and ensure quality across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, Electrical, Computer/Software Engineering or related field
• Second year or above at start of co-op/internship
• Familiar with basic statistics concepts/terminology
• Available to work Full-time (40 hours/week)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks
• Able to work independently as well as on a team
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and strong communication
• Minimum GPA of 3.00

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, experimentation, verification, and validation to support product design
• Assist in developing laboratory testing, interpreting data results, and recommending next steps
• Learn and perform various statistical analysis techniques
• Create and update risk management documents like FMEAs, Quality plans, and complaint analyses
• Strengthen communication and leadership skills
• Work with a diverse team of Design Engineers, Development Engineers, Quality Engineers, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and Clinical
• Meet with Quality management to discuss risks and opportunities for the respective projects
