Job summary

KARL STORZ North America is seeking a Project Manager IV to lead cross‑functional teams in developing innovative medical devices for endoscopic surgery. You will drive complex programs from concept through release, ensuring on‑time delivery, budget adherence, and top quality across engineering, product management, manufacturing, and quality functions.

You will collaborate with external partners and internal stakeholders in an Agile environment, guiding strategies, resource planning, and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another technical discipline.
• 7–11 years of experience in project management or related technical field.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects from concept through commercialization.
• Knowledge of medical device quality systems and applicable regulations (FDA QSR/21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001).
• Strong PM, organizational, and budget management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional product development teams through all phases of the product lifecycle, from concept to commercial release.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and deliverables.
• Provide leadership and coaching to project teams in an Agile development environment.
• Coordinate activities with internal stakeholders, suppliers, consultants, and external partners to support project objectives and timelines.
• Monitor project progress, communicate status updates, and proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
• Support evaluation of new technologies and process improvements to drive innovation and operational excellence.
• Ensure project documentation complies with applicable quality system requirements.
• Participate in strategic planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and organizational priorities that support business objectives.
