Job summary

Johnson & Johnson’s Vision MedTech in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Process Engineer to join the Process Engineering team. The engineer will drive manufacturing improvements, advise on material properties and process efficiencies, and support high-speed automated equipment in a GxP environment.

Ideal candidates have a solid foundation in statistics, process validation, and cross-functional collaboration, with Six Sigma exposure and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Materials Science required; 2+ years experience, or Master's with 1+ year experience.
• Project management experience in an engineering environment.
• Strong analytical problem-solving with data analysis and visualization experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Experience using Minitab, JMP, or other analytical tools for statistical analysis and data visualization.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multi-functional teams and influence partners at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to develop and implement equipment and process enhancements to improve efficiency, yield, and safety.
• Plan and implement projects related to product and process improvement aligned with strategic goals.
• Design and implement experimental protocols using statistical tools to improve manufacturing processes.
• Analyze current processes to identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements.
• Develop documentation for process validation, project management, business cases, and root cause analysis per standards.
• Monitor production data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Lead Six Sigma initiatives to drive process optimization and problem resolution.
