Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting a Manufacturing Lead to join the Ottava production team in Santa Clara, CA. You will lead daily production floor activities, mentor technicians, and coordinate cross‑functional efforts to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.

The role requires an associate degree with 6–8 years of related experience or an engineering/mechatronics degree with equivalent experience, plus hands‑on GDP, SAP, and MES/ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• GDP familiarity for medical device manufacturing.
• Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating production activities.
• Proficiency with SAP and MES/ERP systems.
• Ability to read mechanical/technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production floor activities to meet safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets.
• Assign and coordinate technician work priorities based on production needs and resources.
• Mentor, coach, and develop manufacturing technicians; provide hands‑on support for troubleshooting.
• Facilitate shift handoffs and communicate production status to leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Represent the production floor in daily performance meetings and cross‑functional discussions.
• Monitor production progress and escalate staffing, material, equipment, or schedule issues.
• Drive adherence to manufacturing procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and training.
• Ensure personnel are trained and qualified on applicable procedures and equipment.
• Maintain proficiency across multiple subassemblies and provide technical guidance.
