Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join our OTTAVA team in California. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Controls, Biomedical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2+ years of equipment, automation, maintenance, manufacturing, or test engineering experience in regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical equipment, automated test systems, robotics, controls, instrumentation, pneumatics, sensors, calibration, or fixtures.
• Knowledge of GMP, design controls, documentation, change control, deviations, and equipment qualification concepts.
• Ability to analyze downtime history and maintenance records to identify OEE losses and improvements.

Responsabilités

• Own assigned manufacturing and test equipment through specification, selection, design review, FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning, qualification, release, maintenance, modification, and retirement.
• Support URS/FRS, risk assessments, engineering drawings, maintenance strategies, calibration requirements, work instructions, change records, and validation reports.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, robotic, controls, software-interface, and computer-related equipment failures while protecting personnel and data integrity.
• Monitor equipment availability and uptime; analyze downtime events, MTBF/MTTR, and corrective actions.
• Analyze equipment performance losses and validate baselines and cycle assumptions before declaring improvement.
• Collaborate with Quality and Process Engineering on containment and root cause analyses.
• Create CMMS work orders and asset records; optimize PM tasks, frequencies, spare parts, and readiness.
• Coordinate suppliers/technicians; support audits and train users on safe operation.
