Job summary

Homestead Health Care is seeking a compassionate MedTech caregiver to support residents in Shelby Township, MI. You will assist with daily living activities and provide companionship, fostering a warm, dignified environment for seniors.

This part-time role includes two daily shifts (7:00–12:30 and 4:00–9:30) with every other weekend required. A high school diploma or GED is required, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check to start.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, and mobility.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Maintaining a clean living environment, including light housekeeping as needed.
• Reporting changes in a resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicating professionally with families, support services, and coworkers.
• Complying with safety and infection control procedures.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities/Qualifications

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced MedTech to provide care to our residents in Shelby Township, MI.

The Caregiver will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

This is a Part-Time position, hours are 7:00AM - 12:30PM and 4:00PM - 9:30PM

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with the elderly.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver's license or ID.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.
