Job summary

Homestead Healthcare in Orion, MI is seeking compassionate MedTechs to provide resident care and support. You will assist with activities of daily living, offer companionship, and maintain a safe, clean environment for seniors.

Requirements include 18+, HS diploma or GED, background check, experience with the elderly, ability to lift 50 lbs, and reliable transportation. Commitment to every-other-weekend shifts and punctual teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with the elderly.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver’s license or ID.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining a clean environment, including light housekeeping.
• Reporting changes in residents' condition to the supervisor.
• Communicating professionally with families, support services, and Homestead staff.
• Complying with safety and health standards, including infection control.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
