Job summary

Becton Dickinson is offering the Engineering Development Program (EDP) for new engineering graduates. The program rotates you through three BD businesses over three years, working with R&D on designing and testing medical devices, while learning to navigate regulations and quality processes.

You will relocate annually to locations like NC, CA, IL, and others to gain cross-functional exposure. Upon completion, graduates progress into a full-time role within BD R&D.

Qualifications

• New engineering graduates with a BS or MS in Mechanical, Biomedical (Bioengineering), Materials, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline
• Expected Graduation date between August 2026 and June 2027
• Excellent academic record
• Relevant internship or co-op experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to relocate annually during the three-year program
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction as to duration.

Responsibilities

• Work with R&D to design, develop and test medical devices while following regulations and quality processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, scientists, and cross-functional teams to understand needs
• Participate in design reviews and provide regular status updates
• Rotate through three BD businesses across the US during the program
