Job summary

BD is recruiting for its Engineering Development Program (EDP). Newly graduated engineers will rotate through three BD businesses across the US over three years, working with R&D teams to design, develop, and manufacture a broad range of medical devices.

Qualifications

New engineering graduates with a BS or MS in Mechanical, Biomedical (Bioengineering), Materials, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline.
Expected Graduation date between August 2026 and June 2027
Excellent academic record
Relevant internship or co-op experience
Willingness to relocate annually during the three-year program
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

Work under the supervision of an R&D manager to develop and maintain medical technology and devices.
Design, develop, and test medical devices while following medical device regulations and quality processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, scientists, and quality, regulatory, and marketing groups to understand patient and healthcare provider needs.
Participate in design reviews, device testing, and providing regular status updates.
