Job summary

Vizient is seeking a Sourcing Executive for MedSurg in Irving, TX. The role supports development and execution of sourcing strategies to reduce spend, while assisting with drafting, redlining, and negotiating contract terms under guidance from senior team members and Legal.

You will engage in the full sourcing lifecycle—from data analysis and RFP preparation to supplier engagement, negotiation support, and contract maintenance—collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to strengthen

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 2+ years of MedSurg or clinical experience.
• Foundational experience in contract review, redlining, or negotiation support.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data and identify trends.
• Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills for facilitating supplier discussions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Hybrid work model with three days per week in the office (Irving, TX).

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of sourcing and contracting strategies to reduce spend and improve efficiency.
• Assist in drafting and redlining contract terms under guidance of senior team members and Legal.
• Participate in supplier negotiations and contribute to discussions.
• Coordinate information flow between clients, suppliers and internal teams.
• Support RFP creation, distribution, and initial evaluations.
• Manage contract maintenance activities including amendments and renewals.
• Prepare communications summarizing progress, opportunities and supplier updates.
