Job summary

Baldwin Health in Foley, AL is seeking a MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care on the Medical/Surgical unit during PRN night shifts. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while coordinating with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include med administration, patient education, and participation in performance improvement, with a focus on safety and high-quality care for patients and families.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN license current in applicable state.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process and policies.
• Document patient assessments and report changes to care team.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards.
