Helix Electric is seeking a skilled Medium Voltage Splicer Electrician to join our field team. The role focuses on installation, splicing, termination, testing, and maintenance of medium voltage underground and overhead distribution systems.

Ideal candidates will have strong technical abilities in MV cable systems (5kV–35kV), safety-first mindset, and the ability to work independently or with a crew. On-site, full-time work with potential overtime and night shifts may apply.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 3 years of medium voltage cable splicing experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with medium voltage cable systems from 5kV to 35kV.
• Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints, one-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of cable preparation, splicing, termination, and testing procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Install, splice, terminate, and test medium voltage cable systems ranging from 5kV to 35kV.
• Perform cable preparation, shield grounding, stress cone installations, and terminations per manufacturer specs.
• Install and maintain underground conduit systems, duct banks, vaults, manholes, and pull boxes.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, cable schedules, and construction documents.
• Conduct acceptance testing, fault locating, insulation resistance testing, and other diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot and repair damaged or failed MV cable systems.
• Assist with cable pulling operations and ensure proper installation practices.
