Job summary

Ellaway Blues Consulting is seeking experienced Medium Voltage Cable Splicers and Terminators to support large-scale electrical infrastructure projects in West Texas. The role focuses on MV cable installation, preparation, splicing, terminations, testing support, and energization readiness for critical systems.

Candidates should have 5+ years of hands-on MV experience, be able to read diagrams and schedules, and work outdoors in challenging conditions.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience installing, splicing, and terminating medium voltage cable systems up to 35kV.
Experience with cold shrink terminations, dead break systems, and separable connector installations.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, schedules, and manufacturer specs.
Willingness to work outdoors in West Texas conditions and to travel/overtime as needed.
Commitment to safety, quality, and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

Install, splice, and terminate 5kV, 15kV, and 35kV MV cables per project specs.
Perform cable prep including insulation removal, grounding, shielding, and lug installation.
Support outdoor and indoor terminations and connector systems.
Read one-line diagrams and cable schedules to guide installation.
Coordinate with teams to meet project schedules and energization readiness.
Follow safety standards including LOTO, PPE, OSHA, NFPA 70E.
