Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a skilled Medium Voltage Electrician for Warren State Hospital in Pennsylvania. The role focuses on medium voltage work across distribution panels, transformers, and switchgear, with weekly generator maintenance and system monitoring to ensure reliable operation of essential electrical equipment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting via blueprints and instruments, adhering to NFPA 70E and safety policies, and operating equipment for outdoor lighting

Qualifications

Five years of journey-level experience in the electrical trade; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair switch gear, transformers, and distribution panels.
Conduct weekly preventative maintenance and test runs on emergency standby generators.
Check substation instruments, monitor switchboards, and interpret readings to maintain performance.
Use blueprints, diagrams, tools, and testing instruments to locate and solve electrical problems.
Follow NFPA 70E rules and facility policies when working on electrical systems.
Operate lift trucks or bucket trucks to perform electrical repairs on outdoor lighting.
