Job summary

Border International is seeking a dependable Medium/Heavy-Duty Truck Technician in El Paso, Texas. You will perform vehicle outfitting, safety checks, and road tests while coordinating with parts and service teams.

The role requires a Class B CDL (Class A preferred) and a basic set of hand tools, with an emphasis on safety and compliance. Full-time hours Monday–Friday with competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• College or Technical school training (Preferred).
• Two to four years related experience (Preferred); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Commercial Driver's License - Class B (Required). Class A (Preferred).
• Must own set of basic mechanic's hand tools (Required).

Responsibilities

• Performs work as outlined by leadership team with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Completes outfitting for new vehicles based on dealer and customer specifications.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Road tests vehicles when required.
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
• Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Ensures that the vehicle is kept clean.
• Keeps shop area neat and clean.
• Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
• Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
