Job summary

Border International in Las Cruces, NM is hiring a Medium/Heavy‑Duty Truck Technician to perform repair and maintenance on heavy trucks at our local facility. This full‑time role offers flat‑rate pay based on completed jobs, with a schedule Monday through Friday 8am–5pm and one Saturday per month.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in heavy‑duty trucks, a valid license, and strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in heavy‑duty trucks.
• Basic engine knowledge required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• CDL is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with service software.

Job Type

Full‑Time / Las Cruces, NM

Pay

FLAT‑RATE – the employee is paid per job instead of a salary or per hour.

Schedule

Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm / One Saturday a month

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 or more years’ minimum experience; preferably in the Heavy‑Duty Truck Industry.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, CDL a plus.
• Sales skills and ability to make appropriate service recommendations.
• Basic engine knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, service software).
• Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
• Ability to solve problems in an efficient and effective manner.
