Job summary

Gateway Truck & Refrigeration in West Chicago is seeking skilled truck technicians to join our growing service team. We perform mechanical repairs on medium-duty diesel trucks and handle preventative maintenance to keep customer fleets on the road.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 2+ years of experience, and a valid CDL preferred. We offer competitive hourly pay, bonus potential, and a commitment to training and career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL preferred with clean driving record.
• 2+ years' experience as a Truck Technician or similar.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on medium-duty diesel trucks.
• Perform all levels of Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure proper working.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using testing equipment such as laptop computers, motor analyzers, temperature and pressure gauges.
• Identify warranty repairs and document properly on the repair order.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

• Perform mechanical repairs on medium-duty diesel trucks

Salary: $25.00 - $49.00 per hour
