Job summary

Gateway Industrial Power, Incorporated in Cicero, IL is hiring a Truck Technician to perform mechanical repairs on medium-duty diesel trucks, execute preventative maintenance, and road test vehicles to verify proper operation.

The role requires diagnostic ability, documentation of issues, and adherence to safety standards within a team-driven, family-owned company that supports training and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL driver's license preferred.
• 2+ years' experience as a Truck Technician or similar position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on medium-duty diesel trucks.
• Perform all levels of Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or ensure proper operation.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using testing equipment such as laptop computers, motor analyzers, temperature and pressure gauges.
• Identify warranty repairs and document properly on the repair order.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

• Perform mechanical repairs on medium-duty diesel trucks
