Job summary

The Spine Hospital of Louisiana seeks an IT Applications Specialist to support MEDITECH Expanse and related healthcare applications. You’ll troubleshoot issues, improve workflows, and ensure critical systems stay up to date, working closely with clinical and administrative teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in a healthcare IT environment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of hospital operations, clinical workflows, and patient information confidentiality.
• Effective communication, organization, and documentation skills; ability to work independently and with teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support and troubleshoot issues with MEDITECH Expanse and other assigned applications.
• Assist physicians, nurses, and staff with application questions and workflow concerns.
• Maintain approved application configurations and document changes.
• Coordinate with MEDITECH and other vendors to resolve issues.
• Participate in testing and implementing application updates and enhancements.
• Help train users and develop application reference materials.
• Investigate application data and integration issues with IT teams.
• Prioritize support requests based on their impact on patient care and hospital operations.
