Job summary

The Spine Hospital Of Louisiana is seeking an IT Applications Specialist to support MEDITECH Expanse and related healthcare applications. You will work with clinicians and administrators to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and ensure critical systems stay available for patient care.

You will provide daily support, respond to user questions, maintain configurations, and coordinate with MEDITECH and vendors on updates and improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of experience in a healthcare information technology environment
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of hospital operations, clinical workflows, and patient information confidentiality
• Effective communication, organization, and documentation skills; ability to work independently and collaborate with hospital staff, IT personnel, and vendors

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support and troubleshoot issues with MEDITECH Expanse and other assigned applications
• Assist physicians, nurses, and staff with application questions and workflow concerns
• Maintain approved application configurations and document changes
• Coordinate with MEDITECH and other vendors to resolve issues
• Participate in testing and implementing application updates and enhancements
• Help train users and develop application reference materials
• Investigate application data and integration issues with the appropriate IT teams
• Prioritize support requests based on their impact on patient care and hospital operations
