Job summary

SCAN Health Insurance is seeking a Medigap Compliance Program Manager to independently oversee Medicare Advantage and Medigap regulatory requirements. You will ensure federal/state rules are implemented, monitored, and maintained, and partner with Legal and operations to manage regulatory changes and risk."

The role focuses on Medigap governance, state Department of Insurance obligations, and effective guidance for business areas to sustain compliant operations in a changing healthcare landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, audit, risk management, Medicare, Medigap, or related experience.
• Experience interpreting and implementing federal and state regulatory requirements.
• Experience conducting compliance risk assessments and providing regulatory guidance to business stakeholders.
• Experience supporting regulatory examinations, audits, investigations, or corrective action activities.
• Medicare Advantage, Part D, and/or Medigap experience.
• Experience working with state Departments of Insurance and state regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a highly regulated healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of Medigap and state regulatory affairs compliance domains.
• Assess federal and state regulatory requirements with Legal Affairs and operations.
• Serve as SME on Medigap requirements, including guaranteed issue and underwriting.
• Coordinate implementation of Department of Insurance requirements across business areas.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, inquiries, and market conduct reviews.
• Translate regulatory guidance into actionable compliance expectations for business.
