Job summary

HonorHealth in Scottsdale is seeking an Academic Division Chief, Medicine to provide strategic and academic leadership for the Medicine Division in partnership with ASU and the John Shufeldt School of Medicine and Medical Engineering.

The role guides clinical education, UME and GME programs, faculty development, research, and innovation while advancing patient-centered care and interdisciplinary learning across HonorHealth and ASU.

Qualifications

• Doctorate Medicine M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school.
• Experience in medicine with substantial clinical and academic background.
• Leadership in an academic medical setting; faculty development and research experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides visionary leadership and sets the overall strategy for the Medicine Division academic programs.
• Leads Medicine Division undergraduate medical education (UME) and graduate medical education (GME) programs.
• Advances excellence in clinical care, education, research, and innovation by integrating biomedical science and health systems science.
• Fosters a culture of research, discovery, and scholarly activity with external funding opportunities.
• Recruits, develops, mentors, and retains talented faculty; promotes scholarly productivity.
• Maintains relationships with HonorHealth, ASU, and affiliated programs; oversees budgets and infrastructure.
